Pipe identity

Hi freelander 1 2002 td4 I need to identify the fuel return pipe as well as fuel feed pipe ,I don’t have an in tank pump I dont have FHB fuel pump and filter on inner wing ns

Can you post a picture of the pipes under the rear wheel arch.

Does the op mean he doesn't have a FBH BUT the pump and filter is on wing ns??

For a 2002 I think the pump is in the engine bay although this was the changeover year. Please clarify.

if it's of any help ..

re. the engine bay :

looking from the front of the car .. at the h.p.fuel-pump ..
low pressure feed to pump .. be on left .. rubber hose type
low pressure return-to-tank .. be at right .. rubber hose type .. [ nearer to the h.p.pump regulator ]
or ..
the fuel return from the injectors .. connects to same metal pipe
as the 'return' from the h.p.pump ..

Low pressure pump and filter are on n/s inner wing
Both pipes going to tank both have green and yellow identification on both ends they are rubber sleeved 8 mm plastic pipes if this helps

There's another pump in the tank on the early system. Both have to work, or they suffer starting and running problems.
