Finally got the cash together to replace those bloody chunky tyres, just couldn't stand the road noise/drone when going above 30mph any longer even though there was 5mm of tread left on them

Replaced them with 4 Lassa competus 195/80/15 total cost £304 but well well worth it just for the noise levels.

Maybe i will try and get hold of a cheap set of 15" alloys and stick the chunky tyres on them and run them in the winter??

I have those Lassa tyres on my front wheels and I hate them with the fires of a thousand hells. They have all the traction of a puck on an air hockey board and they squeal like stuck pigs. I hope they work out better for you but I'll be interested to see how you get on with them :).

Will.

Oh dear, i did some research before i bought them and they got a decent write up.
will let you know how i rate them but i am no speed freak and just doodle along 40-60mph most of the time.

could of got budget tyres for £47.60 fitted but thought i would go for a middle of the road tyre (lets hope they stay ther LOL)

I don't drive too hard either. Budget tyres are an utter no no, I had them fitted to my old civic and I reckon that if I'd had decent tyres on the car I wouldn't had rear ended the other car. Got me thinking about what would have happened if it had been a pedestrian and now I only buy top end tyres when I can. Though I'm still saving for a new set....
