Well, had the infamous death wobble, so after a quick check, I considered the swivel needed adjusting.

Talk about taking on the simple jobs first!!!

Anyway, one side was fine, and didn't need anything changing. The drivers side however, as soon as the hub was free, would turn with a blow it was that loose.

Fortunately, there was still enough shims that removing a couple got it in a satisfactory state, and after a quick test drive, NO MORE DEATH WOBBLE!!!! Quite chuffed because it's one issue down, however, it has now thrown up more issues;

-Drivers side drive flange needs one bolt replacing, as it has snapped on the thread, so will need drilling out. (thinking it may be easier to refurb a different hub to throw on)
-Drivers side wheel bearing could now do with nipping up. Has a slight bit of play, which I think a quick tighten will sort.
-Steering box rod ball joint has some major play, as well as the robber cover being in 2 pieces!! Paddock sell the complete arms, or the joints seperately. Can they be pressed with a vice, or is it going to be -easier to change the full arm?
-Track rod end ball joint has some play. Not overly, but might as well change for the small cost.

Seems one thing uncovers another with this car, but it will all get sorted.

One brucy bonus for me, is that the front discs and pads look brand new.

Getting the old arm off is usually a PITA, unless you have the right puller or are prepared to cut it off. Easier to buy a replacement joint, and fit it on the vehicle - and make sure it's a genuine one as many of the copies simply don't fit.
