got ya now mate..

trouble is the old engine is now knocking somwere dont know if cracked piston/ shells/or piston slap!!

Thats why i am having to get new engine..expensive lesson learnt!!

i personally run 200tdi in both disco and 90 and have disconected both to the chassis if your gonna re-place dont get a disco cos its alot work changing things about the turbo is on the side by the exhaust manifold wheres the 90 is on the top is best of looking for a proper 90 200/300tdi lot less trouble and probably cheaper in fitting but hey with the price of diesel may as well get a v8 in there an have some fun plenty them going about

yep mate just got me a 200 TDI 62000 miles with all the kit intercooer pipes etc.

paid £750.00

just waiting on the delivery this week..like a big kid carnt wait to test drive it..

How long and what do you think this would cost me to get somone to fit???

i have no idear im sure someone with all the correct tools and the correct everythink and a good load of luck 2 days in yard as a guess garage would hate to try and give estimate best of have a ring around few specialists garages someone like mick at www.neneoverland.co.uk would probably be able to give you a good estimate is a very honest man just from my own experince with him if you got a mate give you hand take time and do things in a logical way take pics of yours befor moving for reference and plenty of tea and patience all best with job love to see some pics you know start and finish regards colin

The guy who is doing it for me used to own the A5 4x4 near Nuneaton Warickshire.

Really nice chap he packed the buisness up about two months ago and i thought i would pop and call on him to see if he knew anyone who knew what they were doing with Landy Engines and i caught him strimming his hedge by chance and asked : Excuse me can you help?, Five minutes later i could not shut him up he knew the lot ,, expalined eactley what the problem was and told me the model i had sufferd from pressure in the lower crank which in turn when engine is worn it forces Oil passed the pistons!!

Then he dragged me to his workshop lordy lordy: He had Landy after Landy on blocks imaculate stored in his Garage and others IE: MBG Midget imaculate, Engines , parts you could drool for lying all over the place and then he had a club room for his mates settee Tele Beer..all in his Garages..

Paradise found , anyway he even rang the breakers from were i got the Engine from to tell them not to cut off things like throttle cables etc to save some Money!!!!

Anyway get the engine deliverd Tommorow and he will begin to take out the old one and fit the new 200TDI ...Intercooler baby!!

Carnt wait then its a ompleate new paint job the full chequer plate to front end and all of the rear of the Landy with new rear seats to boot.

Then a good winch, if anyone has one let me know at least 9000 Lbs

New front Winch bumper and chrome bull bar..

He is charging me £350.00 to fit with my help...

:) :)
