Newbury 4x4 spares show.

Anyone going to the show on this sunday 6th. Whose been before and whats it like.

I will be there. It's really good, lots to buy. I always wander around the vintage spares bit too as there is quite often some good bits to be had there.

Funnily enough it's even better if it rains because people just want to get shot of stuff and will sell stuff so cheap that you just can't leave it!

I'm in two minds whether I'll go. Usually spend more on me & wife's entry fee and burgers and come away with a £5 item I could have bought on ebay anyway. Stuff seemed overpriced last time I went - galv bumpers going for more than new ones etc .
Collides on calendar with London to Brighton so may be fewer there perhaps?

I go every time - great day out. Sometimes spend £100s and sometimes a tenner depending on what I find.

I've got a list as long as my attention span, so I will be looking for some flexi hose, rev counter, sound proofin... oh look, there is a cat on tinterweb

There's a guy there who specialises in foam matting of all shapes, sizes and thicknesses. I'm systematically cutting up a few of his 30mm foam mats and sikkaflexing it to the roof and the backs of panels, etc.

Is that the kneeling mat stuff? How well does that cut the noise?

Yes and difficult to tell.

I've still got a lot of the interior out while I'm doing it but filling cavities with foam can't make it any louder (I hope ) and sould cut out the odd rattle/drumming.

Adds virtually no weight and costs £20.
