Guys the garage that I bought my freelander from have just fitted a new CV joint on the propshaft as the old one was noisey and casued vibration. I have just discovered that when the car is now on full lock that it feels as if the handbrake is on ( i know it is not) is this just because the joint is new or is their a fault?
I also feel that there is maybe a rear whell bearing that is on the way out as it sounds a little noisey now that the propshaft has been refitted having used the car sincce shortly after purchase as 2 wheel drive (the propshaft removed because of the previously described fault.
All advice greatly received

Sorry it was a VCU that was fitted by the garage not CV joint.

VCU bearings may have failed. They sould be put on by a press, properly. But some like me bodge them on. It may be the garage has done this and they're damaged, unlike mine :D. Or the bearings are just crap. Many peeps have them changed only to find they fail shortly after.
