I am after a bit of advice, I’m currently making repairs to my chassis As well as all the usual points my mount for rear shock absorber has had it and needs to be replaced.

I have been unable to find a repair panel for this, does any body know if one exists and where I can get one or do I need to fabricate one myself, if so does anybody have any tips on how to do it?
My landy is a 1980 lwb diesel. Any help would be greatly received.

Thanks

I remember looking at mine its a lwb also, and thinking it might need doing soon, they can be fabbed, but they are tricky.
I couldnt find one available as a repair piece, but I didnt look too hard to be honest.
You could have a look at a couple of breakers and see if you can chop a good one out of a vehicle with a sawzall or grinder.

Hi. I now have the same problem. I know we are 6 years down the line, but I have been trawling the internet all evening and this is the first mention I have found on the subject!
Did you / has anyone find any repair parts or did you have to fabricate your own in the end?

The mount is just a metal post sticking out of the main chassis. Could you not just fabricate a section of chassis with a new mounting? Other solution is a complete rear quarter chassis replacement. The latter would solve any other rot issues. Lots of suppliers of chassis.

Thanks Both.
I'm certainly no expert, but John S are you not talking about a SWB? And Blackburn, I'm talking about the shock top mount, not the spring hangers.
Mine is a 1960 LWB (109) truck cab. My rear shock mount lug, or post as you put it, actually sits just above the chassis with a bracket either side welded to either side of the chassis rail, if that makes any sense. As in the pictures I have attached (I hope however owns the copy right doesn't mind me pinching them!)
I thought they looked feasible as being produced as a repair part but i think I will have to assume not. They are certainly not listed on Blackburn's link to Roversnorth.
But thanks for taking the time both, its appreciated
