Hi all, I have just become the owner of a Range Rover Sport HSE 2.7 TDV6 2007 with 116k on the clock.
I’m told that it’s pretty much a Disco 3 in a party dress, so I’m asking you who know.
I purchased it knowing it had problems (that may have been my fist mistake). I have removed the Turbo, what a pain that is to do and found that the actuator joint to the rod was seized solid so freed this of and all seemed to work fine. The mechanism worked freely with no issues and just for good measure as it was off I have cleaned the Variable veins out, although there was littlecarbon built up anyway and put it back in situ.
I tested it before reassembly and when theignition was switched on the actuator did its selftest and also when ignition switched off.
I have put it all back together, when I put theignition on it still self tests and no Codes are thrown up but once I start it it throws up P132Band goes into limp. On occasion it will drive for a short time before the fault shows and I can herethe Turbo chuckling on let off of throttle. I will also sometimes get P138E show up as well.
I have checked the MAF Sensor and that seemsOK showing 16-17 on tick over.
Is it likely that the actuator motor has lost itspower or is there something more likely to be causing the fault to occur.
