Hi all, am new to the site and just got hold of my first land rover (300tdi) n reg, am getting water comming in the back corners of my landy where the roof joins the base of landy and collects a good amount of water in the back,i know its a common problem with them but has anyone got any ideas how to solve the problem please
cheers

You could buy some new seals from a Land Rover dealer, they go between all the roof panels. Alternatively just use some silicone sealant (you can get the clear stuff) from B&Q or Homebase etc. Make sure all the joints are clean and dry before applying.

Welcome Avit,

The immortal words of my local Landie workshop.... "they all do that"......! ;)

I had a '97 90 CSW and it leaked down the A piller down the door, onto the door hinge and onto my foot on the throttle pedal. I had to use a Co-op platic carrier bag.

I tried everything from seals to mastic. I was told it is where the (roof) panels are riveted together, they aren't water tight, so they let water in between them........ SOMEWHERE, but where????

One of lifes unsolved mysteries! :D

Now I've got a tilt...... Now I can see where the water comes in.... most places. :D

i got a convertable that leaks water on to my knee when its raining. after trying all sorts of ship to fix the leak i discovered how to stop it leaking. .; i'm pretty sure it would apply to landies as well.
