Leak off Pipe / Spill Pipe. Where does it end?

Having just had my pipe replaced, I was just curious where it ends to? Obviously it goes from the injectors but where does the other end go to? I see it disappears around inlet manifold, does it go direct to HP pump or a junction?

Depends which engine you have, on some diesels they feed back to the low pressure side of the fuel system via a non return valve or on other engines back to the fuel tank often where the gauge sender unit is located.
