Bit of a random comment, but can anyone give me some impartial advice on buying this? I live and work in and around north London and the car would need to be a daily driver, commuting to work and the odd bit of business related mileage.

I am a novice at mechanics but would want the fairly raw 200 or 300tdi so start to pick up the basics and go from there. Would buying this be stupid?

Well it wouldn't be LEZ compliant so that could be a problem.
