Tired of pulling away in 2nd and looking for a non-existant 6th gear at 50 - 60 mph I want to change the final drive of my 90 TD5 (which is 'chipped'). It did look like a spud at one time, so much earth around it..
I've tried the Ashcrofts ratio change before (15% ratio change) on another motor, but wondered about the crownwheel and pinion change offered by KAM (21%) for about the same price, especially as Ashcrofts are out of cogs for a while. Does anyone have any knowledge of a Landy which has had this conversion?
Also, for sale - 5 x 285/75x16 BFG MT's with 14mm (new) 2x11mm & 2x 9.5mm tread, £270. Can send anywhere UK by courier for £30. I'm near Inverness (it's 'up north' somewhere...).
