Just bought a TD4 2.0 Auto

Hi Folks, Just purchased a 54reg freelander 2.0 td4 auto, Have had various Landys before quite a few years ago, This one has been running not to bad, but loads of black smoke under load so had a look and has an oil seperater, so the looked at egr and that was chocca block and inlet man so have cleaned as best as Now she won't start, the Joy of a freelander return lol but still love them I am always open to suggestions and will help if I can
