Introducing myself

Hello all, i am new to all this, so it will take me awhile to figure out how to use it, well last year i bought myself my first defender 90 1988 2.5 TD, i live in liverpool but mainly go green laning around wales, nothing too extreme though, If anyone has any decent trails i can do with my nephew please let me know, i have joined GLASS and TW2 but don't quiet understand it yet. Also if anyone is interested i have taken out 2 rear forward facing leather exmoor seats and replaced them for bench seats, so willing to sell them as there getting in the way.

Welcome to the forum ,I was in North Wales last weekend. If you look at trailwise on a pc you can click on some of the lanes you can read comments left by others.

Cheers, i was using my phone so probably didnt get the best info, i was in north wales myself, not sure if it was the wayfarer but ot was in llangollen

Yeah you can't read the details on a phone, someone told me that the wayfarer had been shut due to the damage by the railway sleeper section

Thats sound about right, it was my first time there and them sleepers where collapsed, i was about to turn back but another 4x4 turned up and we built a ramp to cross, after that it was pretty good

Ive just screen shot this from my video, doesnt look too bad there but it may have got worse

It's well used and one of my favourite lanes especially when the puddles are full
There's plenty of other lanes around there but there's a few I wouldn't recommend on your own

We were further over towards Betws-y-Coed

The lanes are so hard to find, i only managed to find this one because someone gave me the postcode to a pub near by and then a rough map of the beginning of the lane

There's quite a few in that area, personally I prefer o/s maps used in conjunction with trailwise. Os maps also come with a digital download so you can check with your phone exactly where you are using GPS.

I have just download os maps app, havnt a clue about reading maps but that paper looks good, ill have to do my research and familiarise myself with the codes etc

Ive only been up north wales and at first wernt sure if they where even green lanes, but just went up afew, joined TW2 and glass so am going to see what info i can get

I have got panoramic window on my 90 so dont want anything extreme, just like the trails and puddles
