I've just had my cam belt, tensioner and water pump changed for £148.

Bargain or not?

:scratching_chin:

I'd say, I hope they did you a decent water pump - you don't want a leaky one .

I'm sure it's fine mate, that's about what I'd have expected to pay before I could do it meself.

a garage near me charges 180 pds plus vat plus parts to change both cambelts, dont know how much cambelts are so i bet about 250 all in and thats without a water pump.

It's a K series engine, I bought an SKF pump, tensioner and belt kit from the local motor shop and paid £80 labour and coolant.
Thats from a small, back street garage (with test book etc and deal with D4 and L322).

I priced cam locking tool etc at about £60 to do it mysen but having never done a twin cam before (and not having time), I payed that for it. The best supply and fit prices started at £200 and went to about 3.50!
