How many inches clearance should there be?

HI, I recently had my old girl jacked up and put axle stands un the chassis on one side to get in about and clean her before waxoiling her, now since then it looks as if she has got a lean on, I know the bottom leaf of spring on the osr has cracked and im waiting for a replacement to arrive, but im wondering if the the springs on the near side might have moved and with out any weight on them havnt bedded back down? what i was wondering is what is a standard sort os clearance between the tyre and wheel arch, im running 750x16 tyres and they are 11 leaf springs

Should be about 6 -7" between the chassis and the top of the axle.

See attached extract from the Series 3 workshop manual for setting springs which should help- assuming of course that it is a Series 3 you have?? not sure if the same for earlier Series Landies, and this is for original type leaf springs only as if you are talking parabolics then the dimensions given will be totally different

It should be about 6 1/2 inches from axle case to chassis (not bump stop) for a LWB.

sorry I should have said its a SWB, I will be getting under it once i have cleared the snow out from there lol

112mm front 144mm rear. (4 3/4" and 6")
