Hi All.

My 2003 freelander will start from cold with a struggle but when the engine is hot there is no chance it will start. Im afraid to turn it off as i know it wont start

I live in france and ive had it in two garages here and had all fuel filters and rear fuel pump changed and a full service and still no end to the problem. Any ideas guys as i am at my wits end with garages here at a loss to find the fault.

Thanks

Sue

^ As above. Do or get someone to do a leak back test. Or you could clamp of the return pipe to the tank for a brief moment as you try to start from hot to confirm.

Absolutely typical of failed camshaft sensor - wont start when hot.

Check the wires are connected properly and/or spray the sensor with easy start stuff (or freeze spray if you can find it) which will cool the sensor and allow starting.

Easy to change, if new one is needed.

Singvogel.
