Recently the high beam on my headlights has been playing up i have sidelights and low beam but when i flick my indicator stalk forward it turns all the lights out  But they work fine if you pull it towards you to flash someone :S. Has anyone got any ideas what this might be?? im pretty sure its not a fuse blown. May it be my stalk has corroded and not making a good contact??

Depending on the year the switch was made, but if you look closely you can see the contacts, operating the high beam on and off you should be able to see which ones are being used, then clean them with a diamond spatula or a leccy's contact file.
This will only work for so long as once the plating has worn off the contacts the remainder will burn away quickly.

.....but it's probably easier to put a new one in - certainly as a longer term solution. Remove the clamp, put the new one in position and then swap the wires over, one at a time.
