Hi Ya, I'm Matt from Woking in Surrey.

I havent got a landie yet but I will do in the next week or two!

I'm after something that'll tow car trailers but more importantly, something that i can go out and have some fun in!
Any recommendations would be great!, series3 or defender? petrol or diesel???

Hi there Mat and welcome to Landyzone!
Your choice has to be made to suite you circumstances i'm afraid. I'm also pretty new to landy ownership and i , like everybody else went through the same. Personally i am a diesel man, i just prefer them, i wouldn't say petrols are no good it's just personal choice.If you are gonna go for a 200 or 300 tdi motor they have bags of power anyway. Depending on what your primary use is going to be you have a choice of a few different landies. I had to choose between a 90 and a disco, i was heavily leaning towards a 90 but have a family and probably only go offroading 5% of the time, so for value for money reasons and comfort i opted for a disco. I ended up witha 91 200tdi for £2500 and it is capable offroad (see the gallery) for the same money i would have got an old defender, so as i say personal circumstances make the decision, good luck in your search..
