Im thinking of buying a series 2 land rover to use the chassis with a triumph spitfire body would this be possible? because you lot know alot about land rover

many thanks

p.s not being nasty or nought but it might save a land rover from going to a scrap yard

yes a british car a triumph spitfir not the one which flies up in the sky are u mad?:DThe person who invented the first land rover people called him mad a good thing he carried on or we would not be driving them round.i have been driving 4x4 all my life as i use them for work so get off my back.all i wanted was some infomation so if you cant help me then dosent matter i will go somewhere else and at car show people chopping land rovers up and taking them off road making them into bob tales u dont laugh at them do u so put that in your pipe and smoke it.whoever out there who would like to help i apprecate it

What running gear? the spitfire suspension and chassis is very different from the land rover. You might be better off rebuilding the landy as a landy or getting a reconditioned spitfire chassis.

I have got two classic cars already and in winter you cant use them because of the grit on the road.i have seen a ford fiesta on a 4x4 just thinking a 4x4 to use all year round and something different because they all cant be the same

many thanks
chris:)

Nothing wrong with doing something different
I seen an old merc on a 4x4 chassis
A mk1 fiesta in a cut down 4x4
I was thinking about a mk1 escort on a cut down chassis also thought about fitting 4x4 running gear to a mk1 mr2
Everybody has there own idea of what looks good or what is a good idea
I say good luck to you
Might be better off on a different forum as they are all a little landy purist in here lol
But if you do stick around pics are best
Good luck
