hi folks, just bought a x reg freelande td4r the es model, the front heated seat aint working, the switch lights up to say it is, any pointers?
sorry ive done this before my intro,
ps the driver's side works fine

Hi, and :welcome2:

Check the wiring and plug under the seat.

As far as I know they are fused together so it can't be the fuse if the driver's side is working.

going get me head under the seat tomoz as it was dark when i got it home, thanks for the fast reply
 
Listen for the relay click under each seat when you switch the heater on. If you don't hear it - a quite loud click from under each seat - then you can assume the relay's knackered. The replacement leather seats I put in mine last year had said relays, and the part numbers were clearly stamped on them. Might involve seat removal to see though...

ive swapped the relays around, the drivers side still getting hot, but not the passanger, light says its working, any other ideas?
 
get your self a continuity meter and test the 2 wires just take the plug of and put a probe onto each wire there should be just 2 and if nothing then you have a broken circuit they are just like an a electric blanket really
