Hi Bernard.
I am based in the Wolves area of the West Midlands, not far from the Jaguar Land Rover new plant that as been built

Ah ok opposite end to me - North gloucestershire/South Worcestershire here!

It really is quite easy to use and unless you select programming options then there's not any damage you can do reading data.

For a quick moment there I thought you may have been the same Bernard who comes to our nano meets we have throughout the year for the R75 MGZT car I am involved with where we all work on each others car and help each other out.

A couple of the owners have T4 which are used to do diagnostic checks on the R75 MGZT which is all FOC and is their contribution to the meets, we all bring something to the table even if it is only passing a tool someone may need to do a job on your own car or someone else's.

No never had a R75 but do have a soft spot for them!

Great car - massively underrated.

Own a T4 myself as well so am au fait with the diagnostics operation as well some understanding of what the cars trying to do to help interpret what's going on and try and determine what's wrong

I though all P codes were P followed by 4 digits.

I take it you have the 3 Amigos (ABS etc lights)? Looks like it might be shuttle valves - but don't quote me.

What year is the Freelander?

My pre 2000 car using the Wabco ABS has had the shuttle valves go twice.
