I took my series 3 in to the garage for the annual MOT today. A few hours later and the phone rang....as nervous as a teenager seeing a pussy for the first time! Then the unexpected and pleasant surprise of the guy saying "It passed...sailed through with no advisories" !!

Last summer I spent a long time underneath cleaning everything...and painted the chassis etc with waxoil and tidied the wiring. I also fitted a new petrol tank and renewed all my brakes and pipes. Even though the brake parts were ****Part, they are still working.

Here's hoping I can fix the speedometer in time for the next test when new MOT regs come in force!

Great news. Lol I was same a few weeks ago when mine just needed a track rod end and headlamp aim adjusting. Couldn't sleep the night before ..........

Id be looking foward to an MOT that now isnt happening as the 109 I bought had some nicely hidden P38 in the chassis.....................................

Back to the 88, if I can get it fixed. More Busses, trains and cabs for me

Is that going to be back dated to all vehicles then?

Well done on the pass - though - it always un-nerves me when it passes with NO advisories... makes you think they passed it to be kind, but, actually there are things wrong with it they just haven't told you... wish they would un-officially tell you the problems but give you a green slip all the same!
