Happy after MOT

pleased to report my freelander sailed through it's MOT today with only 2 advisories
1. minor gas leak on rear exhaust back box, arranged for a new one to be fitted tomorrow (£60 inc. fitting)

2. Park brake only just met the leagal requirements also having this done tomorrow at the same garage not sure if it's just needing stripped down & cleaned then adjusted up again or something a little more serious but i did notice in the service history that it had new handbrake cables in 2008 showing 110,000 miles it's now got 157,000 on the clock
The cables should be OK shouldn't they???

either way i am delighted with the results

Check the rear auto adjusters are working OK, the spring steel lever had bent out of line on mine and resulted in a rubbish parking brake due to excess travel of the shoes. I bent the lever into the correct position so the ratchet worked manually, adjusted the brake through the back plate and now the parking brake works OK.
