Series 2 Lightweight...

I have gearbox issues (separate topic), but trying to remove the gearbox cover/tunnel in the cab, with much difficulty!

Does the heater matrix need to be removed, water pipes disconnected, etc, to enable the cover to be lifted over the gearstick, or is there a method of doing so with the matrix in-situ? Grrrrr... driving me to distraction!

Thanks in advance.

Both floor plates have to be removed. Did not have to remove heater on my old Civi 2a but is there something at front of seat box to do with arctic heater system on yours that may be in the way?

My Lightweight takes a fair bit of splaying outwards before the back will come up. I think I could have got the bulkhead a few mm further forwards, even thought the doors are by no means tight.

Got it... BUT it took a fair portion of brute force and ignorance on my part.

Basically, splayed out the sides of the tunnel and lifted out at the rear... much scraping, jamming and profanity and she's out.

Thanks everyone for the guidance.
