Funday Ipswich area 17th August

A week or so ago I saw details of a 4x4 funday in Ipswich area, run by
Suffolk 4x4 club I believe, entry was only £10, does anybody know anything
about this ?

I have a 1995 V8 Disco. Recently the gear lever did not move properly. It
seemed like there was some obstruction stopping the gear change. This
obstruction seemed to move around so sometimes it was difficult to change to
gear 3, maybe gear 4 the next time around. After a while the problem cured
itself, but the grear lever does not spring back to the centre position when
in neuteral, it tend to hav lost the spring action on one side.

Does any body know if this repair is a big job, like removing the gear box?
