Freelander Td4 Tailgate

Help My Tail Gate When The Handle Is Depressed Will Not Open The Window The Bit It Has To Nor Will The Door Open.the Window Will Open Fully Using The Dashboard Switch Or Holding The Keyfob For A Few Seconds.what Is The Cause Of This Problem Can Somone Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try dissconecting -ve on the battery[make sure you got your radio or any other gizmo codes] give 5 seconds off , reconnect and then operate you key fob off [alarm] 3 secs , then on , 3 sec ,do this 3 times then try your rear door. . . it worked for me so good luck. . .

It sounds like the micro switch in the rear door handle is going wrong,as the window will drop on request,so you may have to strip it down and give a clean and check connectors,tiga

hi thanks for all the help.it turned out to be the wires going to the micro switch had become trapped in the window and had been damaged all is now working ok.thanks
