Hi all

Can someone literally point me in the right direction trying to find my cam shaft sensor. It's an 05 freelander one. Any pics or directions would really help.

Thanks in advance

Steve

'ere's one .. ( pic attached )

is that left Hand side of the engine bay are they easy to get to
yeah.. looks like left side as you face the motor
appears to be under the plastic engine cover ..
( not replaced that sensor myself ..
( just going by that pic
as part of the intake manifold can be seen .. and a fuel line
both under "2" .. more or less .. in that pic

doesn't 'look' hard to get to .. once that cover is off

note .. one engine cover bolt on the l.h. side .. if undone ..
will leak engine oil if the engine is running ..

Hi Steve.
Welcome to the TD4 club, by now I think you have a good idea where the cam shaft sensor is, but below a few photo's to make sure for you, first remove the little engine cover three 8mm bolts, lift off the engine cover, then looking at the engine from in front of the car the sensor is top left as in the last photo below, three wire going to it, unclip the wiring, then there is small torx bolt to remove before you can lift out the sensor, you can use 5mm socket it works just as well if you do nor have torx, job should take no longer than 5 minutes maybe less cheers Arctic
