there is a freelander for sale on Fleabay with a snorkel on a td4 it looks home made though item number 280963187835 some time ago you could get them for the td4

There is plenty of room to run a pipe across the engine bay to the 1.8 air filter housing!! The diesel would be no different.

why run it across the engin bay when you can fix it to the inlet pipe under the wing

1.8 inlets on the other side to the snorkels that you can get!
