Freelander 2 face lift LED Light query.

Hi Guys i have just bought me third FL2 the face lift 2013 with those gorgeous LED headlights. Does anyone know:
1. What is the purpose of the round LED that only flashes on when unlocking the car, but never turns on any other time?
2. Can these daytime running lights be programmed to stay on while on the Auto setting? At the moment they have to be manually turned on every time.

Here is that light momentarily on just after unlocking. That's it.

The round lights will come on when unlocked then go oft. They will also come on when you select drive or reverse, and stay on. They will go oft if you turn on the side lights or headlights. Depending on spec... you should have auto lights. They can be enabled/disabled in the menu in the dash display. Try looking in there. Use the buttons on the steering wheel to look in the menu, when stationary.
