I'm looking to sell the 17" alloys with tyres from my freelander 1 and was wondering what sort of price to aim for. Had a quick nose round flea-bay, but can't find much that is too similar.
The alloys themselves are in very good condition, the I've got 4 different makes of tyre between the 5 (that's how it was when I bought it), they've all got plenty of tread but will the different brands affect how much I can sell them for? Or is it worth selling them separate as part-worns instead?

The price you get will depend on lots of factors, like style of wheel, location if collection only and tyres fitted. HSE Trek 17s are the most popular style and so, could sell for up to £200 the set.
However there are many variables on the final selling price.
For reference. I paid £125 for 5 Trek 17s 4 with legal tyres, the spare was new.
I then fitted a set of Maxxis ATs to them.

I would expect anyone buying the wheels will certainly not want the tyres, as they are all different, whereas we know that all tyres should be the same make and tread on the FL1 I have two sets my self one set of Trek 17s and the others the triangle type I do not know the name of those, anyone ? pics below.

You may well sell them easier without the tyres, do they need refurbishing ? are they straight, I would say worth about £80 but as always items are worth what anyone will pay for them.

Yeah the tyres are the bit that annoying, because they were the ones that came with the car and I want to get a full set of new ones all the same make.
What places buy part worn tyres?

If you have good condition 17" wheels. Why not just get a decent set of tyres for those?
I currently run 225/60/17 AT tyres. I don't like the sluggish response of 16" rims now.
There are some very good tyres available in various 17" sizes now ;)

It was mostly down to finding a decent tyre and a price that isn't to extortionate. What make do you use?

I currently have Maxxis Bravo 771 ATs in 225/60/17. I chose those because at the time, I could get them for £70 ea. The price has now gone up so when these are done, I'll switch to the Yokohama AT's. The Yokohama are my second favourite AT tyre. My favourite is the Pirelli Scorton ATR. However the Pirelli ATR in a Freelander size, don't make it into the UK very often.
