Forgot M.O.T

Hi all
I just looked at mot cert and it had run out on thursday so rang my local garage and managed to get it in for mot on same day but had no time to check anything,But guess what she went through with flying colours and I do love her.
2002 td4 es.
I think I will treat her to a nice polish and a good clean up inside.

I'm about to M.O.T my 1.8. I've done a lot of work on it to make it road worthy again, and I'm prertty nervous! I've worked out all the gremlins that I can see, but there may be a few ones hiding in there. But seeing as the car is 2004 there shoudn't be much in the way of corrosion and component ageing - hopefully !

Bought my Y plate TD4 a few weeks ago, it had been standing for over a year. Drove it the 8 miles home, only for the front offside brake caliper to seize........ there was a fair amount of smoke pouring from the wheel well when I got home, it was extremely hot! But no worries, I've got a new set of calipers on order, both sides, and have a set of discs and pads waiting in the wings too. Changed the reverse light switch, a squeeze for a fella like me; the front passenger electric window switch, easy to swap, and a front air vent that had some broken fins. All cheap to fix, and for about a couple of hundred quid it'll be back on the road. The engine is sweet, it's got 90k on the clock, and, before the caliper seizure, it was running well. All in all, fairly happy, and as long as the drivetrain holds out, I've purchased a bargain.

Glad to see another fixer-upper ! Like you said, for a few hundred quid and a bit of DIY you'll have picked up a bargain and hopefully we'll be able to tackle the nastier problems if and when they turn up.
