I've finally got round to fitting my cb. Just a quick one I am going to power it via one of those fuse piggy back things. Anyway first is there a place to earth it near the fuses inside the car and secondly it requires about 13 volt. What fuse is it best to piggyback off.

don't have to piggy back, there is an earth on the mounting stud for the fuse block, and at the top left of the fuse block, there are 3 spade connectors - far left is switched 12v with ignition, middle is permanent 12v, and right is f*ck knows, never worked it out. just crimp a female spade connector, use an inline fuse and all is good.

All my accessories are wired from there.

good luck.

Make sure you have a good swr -standing wave ratio or you could have problem with rf inside the car if your antenna swr is higher on the top channel than on the lowest channel then the aeriel needs to be shortend but only do it a small bit at a time probably half an inch you might be able to adjust it by the little screws on it if it has any and in the reverse if your antenna is swr is higher on the bottom channel than top channel it needs to be lengthend this can also be done by undoing screw and pulling it out a bit ,Do not do it any where near a building you will get replection of the building
hope this helps for got to say make sure your antenna mount is earthed
