OK I am working on my 1969 series 2a which I bought in November.
I have been using a 5 page MOT failure list as a rough guide to restoration and I have finished all the chassis and suspension stuff.
However, I have noticed that the engine and gearbox are about 1 inch further forward than they should be. All engine and gearbox mount are straining forward and 1 gearbox one looks like it has nearly completely sheared.
I have tried lightly levering the engine/gearbox back but it feels solid.
Any ideas? I can't think of anything that would/could be pushing it forward.
Stumped of Shoebury.
