Hi All,

Happy New Year all.

I have changed the regulator on the DS in 2017. For a couple of month the window doesn‘t properly wind back up now. Last time I needed three times open to get it properly up and closed. As our dog pushes the buttons when he checks if we‘re driving properly it kind of opens quite often and I was wondering if the motor might be weak or if it‘s the seal for the window that‘s causing it? It was a Magneti Marelli incl. the motor as far as I remember.
Kind Regards
Matthias

Can't you engage a 'child lock' on the window buttons ?

I suspect the window isn't adjusted correctly, which is causing drag, which the motor is struggling to drive against.

@Nodge68
I could adjust the window a bit, so it‘s closing easier, but it might need so further adjustment. Guess I‘ll do when it‘s a bit warmer though
and try to find a lock in the meantime. Thanks.

When we had trouble closing the boring wind-up windows on our Series, we greased the channels the glass rides in with Vaseline on the 'plush' channels and grease on the mechanicle side within the door, helps shed the water during the winter too ...
