Hi guys, new to the forum so thanks in advance for taking the time to help.

I've got a Freelander TD4 (52 plate) and as i was giving it a bit of a service today and I came across this hanging under the bonet. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to cars. So if anyone can shed some light for me I would be most grateful

Its the turbo solenoid vent filter , looks clean , it just hangs at the back of the engine with no conection at the bottom so it can draw in air

Wow, what a quick reply! Thanks for the info, I can stop worrying now. I thought random things were just falling off. :doh:

if you look there is a little clip that it goes into unless it has been broken change the filter every 12000 miles cost a couple of £
