Living now in the South-Eastern part of France, I had my Discovery delivered brand new in Paris about 21 years ago. It was the family car to do anything, except getting down in the subway in Paris. It was uncomparable to drive on more than a foot of new fresh snow without waiting for the snow scraper. It was nicely comfortable to drive 2000 km or 3000 km in less than 2 days to other countries for holidays. It was the best car for towing a 2 tons horsebox to help friends and a lot of other things that I experienced already with other LRs but not belonging to me, generally Defenders 200 tdi.Through this long time at the wheel the engine has never burnt any oil. But sometimes the maintenance is not perfect probably because young specialists are not learning specific details for this car built between 1996 an 1998 and morover some technical books are no longer in the workshops. I come to your community to try finding details of wiring between the "comodo" to control front wipers and washers (at the steering wheel) and the little pumps behind the little tank or "reservoir" filled with the washer alcoholic solution. The pumps have been checked and they work well. The wires could have drunk alcohol poured in excess around the tank by a clumsy guy. What we have in some books by generalist editors in France is simply a disgrace.
Cheers to the landers.
