Hi all,
This evening I was stuck in a traffic jam for quite a long time (ambient temperature about 5 degrees). I noticed that the cooling fan kicked in a couple of times. The temperature gauge didn't go above normal and there were no strange noises or anything at all.
Later whilst driving back home again (ambient temp around 4 degrees), I'm not sure whether it was me just being extra alert but I noticed that it came on once again and again, the temp gauge hadn't gone above the mid point and there was nothing untoward happening.
My question is - should I be concerned that with the low ambient temperature, my freelander can still get so warm as to require the cooling fan to kick in or, as the temperature gauge didn't go above normal is this just the signs of a functional cooling system doing it's job?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Andy.
