Chipping the K-series

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for chipping the 1.8 K-series engine in the Freelander?

I checked out the ad at the foot of the Home Page, but £269 seems a tad steep (for a +10bhp, +10Nm chip).

Or is it inadvisable to chip them at all due to the head gasket issue?

i guess if i cut it nice the bugger would go in the fat fryer but baked mis easier by far...

could try panel filter and free-flow pipe first?
You never get much out of N/A cars sadly. Have the same with my a4 2.8quattro.

Mgf/tf- but a deep fat fire would be the best conversion


























































yes fire, not fryer

surely a diesel conversion would make more sense.

I'm in East Kent (near Canterbury.)

Depends what ECU you've got plugged into your K.

There aren't really any chips that you can 'add' onto the K series, but you can buy after market ECU's to replace the original as the rover original can't be remapped.
