Hi, my project came with new shocks already fitted on the rear plus a new set of rear shocks as it says on the box, so can I put them on the front. If I can it will be a great as I have to be very frugal at the moment and I am no mechanic. cheers Judas... and yes I am called judas (long story)

Fronts are part number RTC4230, rears are RTC4232. Seems odd you've got two sets of rears. Has someone fitted the fronts to the rear?

After the guy fitted the rears some one gave him some more that they had lying around which happened to be another set of rears, and he through them in for me.

Putting rear shocks on the front may allow more movement for the axle, however the thing you need to find out is if the shock bottoms out before the axle reaches the bump stop, jack axle up until on stop, close the shock and see if its mounting eyes are inside the pins,if it is then ok. have done many mods in the past including twin shocks on the front and transit ones on the rear[more movement]Give it a try I dont recon there is much difference in the damping rate, cheers.
