Hi all,

I am Yanggi living in a country side of South Korea and am drving Freelander 1 (V6, petrol2.5, 2004) from the year 2004.
Recently, I could not start the engine when I restart the car after short stop in the market or some places, so I
tested with simple car scanner which shows DTC report "Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction".
I think I have to replace the CMP sensor by my self.

Is there someone who recommend a CMP sensor which fit well for my car. Frankly speaking, I tried to fix it by
purchasing mid-price range parts from other open market, but I had failed because the product was not the the right one even worse, the product
was sensor only and the seller do not provide the mating connector cable nor gave any technical spec's or pinout diagram with this I could not try
anything.

So this time, I need the proper sensor with mating connector cable to connect it to the harness connector of ECU(CCU) of my car.

Attached photo is the connection point between cmp sensor connector(pigtailed) and ECU connector.
Your kind help will be highly appreciated.

If you get the correct sensor, you don't need the converter cable.
I've go both in a bag somewhere in my stash, but sending it to South Korea would be an expensive and pointless. You should be able to get it from an LR dealer there.

Of course I had searched Korean LR dealer and the similar ones locally but failed to got it.
If you can suggest a internet store in EU/UK, it will be very helpful for me to get the item via internatioanl shipping method.
As you mentioned, I got the wrong sensor of which connector type and pinout diagram was not available. I can not understand whey they- the seller and the manufacturer(Holstein parts/US company, maybe made in China)- are not able to disclose the most important data to the buyer.
The shape of the sensor I bought looks like attached.

Hi Nodge68,
Thank you for your kind information. It has a connection cable and looks good for my car.
Since I had joined LandyZone several year ago, I am thinking you are very reliable and kind person.
Though the int'l shipment cost is very high I would rather buy from ebay UK not ebay US : )
I have ordered and will post the result after I replace the sensor.
