Can anyone recommend where to get the vent seals, I think defender seals are available, but I have seen where you cant close the vent because the seal is too thick, This is for my 1967 109 2a.
I got some many years ago from Brockwell's just up the road but they just sell land rovers now
no parts, and they fitted nicely no problems?

Self adhesive neoprene, sorry cannot remember the size! google might reveal all?
The rubber ones are a nightmare, people say they settle over time, well mine were on there for years, and constantly leaked air and water, neoprene stopped all that.

I’ve urd quite a few bad reports of some seals not fitting and some being very cheap foam copies.
I think mine came as soft neoprene ones and worked a treat. The only issue is glueing them on without getting evostick everywhere.

I did this job recently. Mine had gone hard, when I got them out they had been foam type - from other things on the vehicle they could easily be orginal or 30 + years old at least. They were at the water trap stage and it seems I got away with it because there was still a good layer of paint underneath. I bought solid rubber ones of e-bay - about £20 and they were well made and a good fit. They are harder than the foam ones so it takes quite a force to close the vents but the seal is good. They are bedding in and 3 months on the vents close eaiser (but still stiff). I set mine in with gutter mastic to stop any water getting underneath.
