Hi all,

I have just noticed my Temp Sensor cable that connects to my TD4's intercooler Temp Sensor is broken the wire has snapped. Can some advise the part number and how easy it is to change? Also is this a standard sensor as I do have a EGR Bypass fitted by the last owner and from other TD4's this is not shown on the photos.

Model: Freelander 1
Year: 2006

Cheers,
James

I've been getting a Engine warning light not MIL for a few days on and off and noticed this was snapped. Could this cause this if it is making a connection and then disconnecting?

Hi, it shouldn't make the eng. management light come on, you can always unplug it altogether/stop the broken wire touching & see if the light goes out. I drove mine about for about a month with the wire broken & I didn't notice any difference. It's very thin wire but after advice on here it makes no difference what gauge wire you use to repair it. I got my connector from the injector loom from a Discovery 2 (or Defender) TD5, it has 5 of those connectors on the loom so if you know of any local independent LR dealers near you they would probably clip one off an old loom for you which is how I came by mine:). The link Nodge68 has posted will fit if you can't find a 'used' one.
