Britpart shocks

Ordered a new set of shocks for the series, and 4 nice shiny Britpart ones turned up....

Took one out the box, compressed it down with my hands.....and it stayed there.

From my experience with other cars (admittedly using gas shocks) this shouldn't happen and it should re-expand...

Is this what happens with hydraulic/series shocks, or have I got some dodgy non-working britpart gear?

It all depends on what shocks you have got, the standard series oil shocks should do that yes, they are only a damper to stop you springing around all over the place. Where as some other shocks do provide a little spring return.

Thats the answer I was looking for, just thought id better check considering the reputation of britpart lol
