Battery Acid Shower!!!!!!!!!!!!

First few drives done!

However last one was about 15mins, and got back home lifted bonnet to see Battery acid EVERYWHERE - battery does not seem to have a crack in it, but deffo battery acid - tested battery terminals with engine running and altenator was making 16.8 volts accross terminals
Also when stopped voltage was nearly 14 volts but dropped to 13 gradualy after motor was stopped

- thinking it might be regulator?

Any idea's?

Also what should altenator voltage when charging be accross battery terminals?

Great - 30 miles old, and battery probably toast - still could be worse...
