haven't got a clue what you're on about chief I'm afraid. I certainly have never said I'm going to do anything illegal so mind your accusations.
I've been a casual cb user for 1year and am taking my amateur licence next month as we all are in rover rescue so I should know all the ins and outs by then.. what is a qsl manager and news reader?!!?

I only posted for a little help,
why do people always jump to the wrong conclusions!!

joe, keep us up to date, cos its something i'll definitly be following. Something I have always meant to get into but never had a reason or time until now. So seriously giving it some thought, good luck chap.

what is a qsl manager?

Back in the day, QSL cards were send to other amateur radio users and short-wave listeners as confirmation that they had correctly received a transmission.

Somewhere in my loft gathering dust, I have a collection of them from all over the world, especially from the southern hemisphere which was a big deal back then with valve equipment and a big antenna hanging off the roof.

When I was a teenager in the 60s it was quite an achievement to chat with someone in Oz or Kiwi-land. Got someone in the Falklands once. it was considered a bit of a nerdy / anorak hobby as it meant sitting with head-phones on, in the middle of the night or early morning. Very serious stuff it was.

Citizens Band changed all that and a new public image was created. ;)

10-4 Rubber Duck, what's your 20?
