Air riveter?

Hi! Apologies if this is in the wrong section but....
Can anyone recommend an air riveter? My wrists and fingers are getting tired and think its about time I purchased one........on a budget of course. Ha!

Have you considered a battery one? I think they can be quite good. You can get different ones of course, but have a look at the 12v Milwaukee for up to 4.8mm aluminium.

Lazy tongs are cheaper and just work, easy on the wrists as well, just watch as they can kick and mark your paint.

The cheap air riveters dont tend to last, the old Lobster make ones on the other hand are made of indestructium, I still have my 2nd hand one I bought a couple of eyars ago for 15 quid,

Been thinking of trying one of the electric drill pop rivet attachment unit's for the same reason.

I've got the clarke one.. very good - maybe slightly heavy if I'm being super critical..

I've had one of the US Pro ones for a couple of years and I'm very pleased with it.

I think they’re mostly all the same thing. IIRC Nielsen, Bergen and US Pro are all the same company. Certainly my Nielsen one above is actually a US Pro device. And is slightly nicer than the Clarke one I used to have until I broke it (my fault, not the tools)

I was about to buy the US Pro or the Clarke one when a new boxed CP came up on a well known auction site this evening. A little more money but hopefully more durable.

Looks identical to my old Clarke one

i have a parkside lidl / aldi jobby, its a us pro / nelson thing works fine had it for 3 years all good.

I have had used this one for two years with no issues

That looks the same as the US pro one. As far as I can tell there are basically 2 sorts that look similar from all these suppliers - probably all come out of 2 chinese factories.
The US Pro style - like this amazon one - has a slip on mandrel catcher, whereas the machine mart ones (Same as the CP one) have a little screw on bit to hold the mandrel catcher on.
