Hi Steve

Unfortunately we're full at 6 cars now but you will be first reserve!

Rik/90boy very kindly shared a lakes route with me which I asked for because I've not been to the lakes for AGES, so I think we'll make it up there.

Need to have a look for a camp spot but leave that with me.

Plan is at the moment to arrive Saturday evening and lane Sunday.

Seeing as this is an effective 2 say route, my plan is to at going at first light, say 5am up to be off for around 6am.

This may seem too hardcore for some late risers but frankly early mornings don't bother me, they mean long days to get plenty covered.

If I'm organising a trip I'm going to make sure it's a good one!

Food will take a great importance for the trip, need a good meal for Saturday night, bacon butties first thing on Sunday and some kind of decent lunch perhaps around 12pm Sunday, hungry laners are not happy laners!

Massive rule is you're only allowed to bring Busweiser bottles for Saturday night :D

SO, decide how you feel about getting up at 5am on a Sunday!! Obviously the Saturday night bedtime will be in respect of a very early rise, but IMO go hard or go home!!

Regards dates, shall we say 20/21 April? 13/14 April is also an option so shall we discuss?

Body clock set for 5am everyday for work so that suits me.
Either date is ok, but the 13th is my 41st Bday!! :(
My almost 12 yr old daughter is coming along so I'll have to
be on my best behaviour. ;)
 
Nice, went to the lakes at beginnig of jan with rik etc, twas quite nice and some cracking views! Get to have another go at stile end, as majority couldnt make it due to ice :D

Haha! Nice! It was the only 1 that id have got stuck on all wkend, saying that I didn't even try it as I knew I was beaten!! Looks a good un though, jusgetting round the corner at the bottom was a big enough challenge what with my ****y turning circle etc... :rolleyes:
