HI Stefan. Lets hope they use decent belts and a Corteco pulley, and do the tightening sequence correctly. 1 2 3 4 Any of these belts are good do not use Dayco. 5 6 7 do let us know.

Being at 130km from home, the mechanic took an instant delivery pulley, forgot name, told me is a reputable pulley maker. He wants to finish today, so I can get the car tomorrow morning. Anyway, a new part would last at least half the life of...

Thank you gentlemen! Things sorted out, returning home now. By train. It was the dreaded pulley. Tensioner and belts were changed last year. Found a service localy through a friend and they will change the crankshaft pulley and, probably, the...

Hi Stefan. yes you can cut it off for now it only runs the cooling compressor, but even so you need to know why it's jumped off, and i would changed the auxiliary belt at the same time. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162597598422...

Hi guys, I guess is a new one: Stopped at a gas station and a second before turning key off a slap/bang sound from the engine. AC belt is off, the big one still on pulleys. I'm on a trip, got the train now, but have to return in the after noon...

The 50th, if and when we get the K-series reliable (!) will be a sunny days and camping car (thinking something like a tentbox lite 2) for the odd weekend away with my OH. Anyhow...somewhat unusually i've started beautification, even though we...

Drop links can be put vice versa. I had mine reversed (left on the right side) and mechanic put the new ones reversed also. And they can touch the shock on one side if the swing bar is sliding sideways (worn bushes). Third time were put as they...

I would try again with engine running, extra voltage may get it open. Push the door inwards to relieve any pressure on the latch before trying to open. Else it a case of getting door card off which is on here somewhere.

They come as a kit like this. They occasionally come up on ebay and Muddy Mods used to have some I believe.

We used to have the same problem, until I bought a set of long "aviation" spanners. Problem was we could not move the tensioner through its full range with standard spanner due to the angled head. These work every time and are easier to pull...

If I get it right, you are concerned with a bad turbo needing another ird removal to fix. Worry not then, the turbo can be removed with the ird on. I did it twice.

Mileage is held in the ipack which is the computer in the instrument panel. If the garage has changed it then they should see the mileage reading change !! Don't think it can be changed easily. Obviously not something that LR want you to do !!

It’s a week since I last posted about my ‘grumbling’ IRD. Anyhoo on Thursday after I woke up I managed to get under the car and change the IRD oil.. (a mixture of new and old oil from the previous attempt/really poor oil for new that ended up...
