Fuel leak at filter head unit turned out to be corrosion that had eaten away the edge of the return pipe connection point so copper sealing washer was not sealing, two of the others were also corroded and it would have only been a short time...
After 20 years I had to replace a headlight bulb for the first time, one week later the other side went out in sympathy so changed that too, I wonder if these will last as long.
Next job is to fix a fuel leak at one of the filter connections
Replaced my injector loom on the 90 today, I do it roughly every 15k as this seems to be the optimal mileage before the oil starts tracing back down to the ecu, squirted lots of lecky cleaner in every socket I came across, including the big red...
10 points to @Hicap phill ! Either the cv crapped itself and took out the halfshaft, or vice versa, but good result, don't have to take diff out, just got to thoroughly clean the hub as metal bits are everywhere, at least the cv grease contains...
Got round to fitting the bias plate on Monday which went quite easily to be honest, only had to remove the first plate and had easy access to replace the plate which had snapped completely off.
I can get all gears nicely now without guessing...
